*The Lennox family house – an ornate mansion, worthy of being considered a castle; Kathleen is sitting in a comfortable velvet chair beside a bed in which Elaine lies, still unconscious, but now with a bandage on her arm and wearing a sleeveless nightgown.
*Kathleen sighs and laughs at herself, realizing they should’ve expected something like this to happen in this new and unfamiliar world.
*After some time passes, Emrick walks into the room and approaches Kathleen*.
Emrick: Supper is ready. I suggest you get something to eat.
Kathleen: I know, but shouldn’t I stay here?
Emrick: No need to worry; the bleeding has been stopped, so she won’t die. Go. I’ve already, eaten, so if you’re still concerned, I can look after her for you.
Kathleen: *Tilts her head at him* You’d do that?
Emrick: Of course. Our injured visitor is my responsibility to some degree, after all.
Kathleen: Yeah, I guess. Thank you! *Walks out of the room, but pauses as she glances back at him, cocking her eyebrow a bit in suspicion, but then shrugs and continues*
*Kathleen arrives at the dining room: a long oval table with several cushioned chairs. Two people sit at the end, Alzore, and beside him, a woman who is presumably Lavinia. The two of them appear to be in the middle of a conversation*.
Alzore: -should have threatened to tax them if they bought the park. That’d scare them off.
Lavinia: The greedbags. How long until they stop pestering us?
Alzore: Until they get what they want.
Lavinia: Then those damned fools will grow old and die first.
Alzore: Lavinia, dear, not so harsh in front of our guest.
*Kathleen approaches the table after realizing she’s been spotted*.
Kathleen: Um, hi!
Lavinia: Good evening. *Makes a charming smile*
Alzore: How is your friend? Is she awake yet?
Kathleen: No, not yet. *Sits down to Alzore’s right side* Emr - uh-
Kathleen: Yeah, he’s taking care of her.
Lavinia: *Giggles* Reckon he’s just obligated to be a gentleman since he’s sick of being single.
Alzore: Lavinia, don’t make such accusations towards your brother. *Clears throat and shifts attention to Kathleen* Now, I suppose you’re concerned as to how you will return home?
Kathleen: Yeah, kind of. When will you let us go back?
Alzore: Whenever you like. Initially I was hoping you could stay for several days, learn about our world and our ways, however, it seems I have unwittingly endangered you and your friend. My deepest apologies.
Kathleen: Well, I’d love to stay for as long as possible, but our parents would be worried…
Alzore: Not to worry. My spell manipulates time as well as space; you will be able to return home to not a moment after you left.
Kathleen: *Eyes widen* Awesome! So if time isn’t an issue, we can stay as long as we want to?
Alzore: Precisely. Your family needn’t ever know how long you’ve been here.
Kathleen: Cool. Once I tell Elaine, she’ll probably want to stay until her arm heals; It’d be hard to explain that…
Alzore: Understandable. Aren’t you hungry, child? *Gestures to the food* Eat! A young one like you needs the nutrition!
*Kathleen glances at the food on the table and fills her plate, surprised it has such a strong resemblance to food in her own world. As Kathleen eats, Alzore and Lavinia resume their initial conversation*.
Lavinia: I say we should just strike a deal with them.
Alzore: No. I will not make a deal with the Peekes twins.
Lavinia: Just something small, like a contract that splits our profits. That’ll shut them up for a while.
Alzore: For a while. What about when they want more?
Lavinia: Then we tell them that they have enough. I’ll have you know I can be very convincing.
Alzore: I will not stand for that, Lavinia. Whether you mean threats or seduction, that can land us a massive fine or even loss of the entire park. You don’t want Thalius to inherit the park, do you?
Lavinia: *Lowers head* No, not at all.
Kathleen: *Swallows food, then raises her head, intrigued* Thalius?
Alzore: My step-son. We don’t have the best relationship with him. Years ago, when he lived with us, he was a bad influence on both Emrick and Lavinia. Soon Thalius went so far as to attempt at taking my park.
Kathleen: Sounds like you’ve got a lot of pressure on your dragon park.
Alzore: Indeed. I haven’t heard a word on Thalius’ whereabouts, which deeply worries me. The poor man has strayed, and I fear it’s my fault.
Lavinia: How many times do we have to go over this? Father, he’s a fool. He began to stray when his father died, long before you met mother.
*Camera zoom out as Lavinia is speaking*.

*Elaine awakens in the middle of the night; the moonlight is streaming through the large windows, brightening the room in an enchantingly light shade of blue. She turns her head to see Emrick wrapping a new, clean bandage around her forearm. She turns her head the other way and closes her eyes, pretending she didn’t see him*.
Emrick: Sorry, did I wake you?
Elaine: No, no, it’s okay. What are you doing up in the middle of the night?
Emrick: Oh, I was about to head out, and noticed you needed a new bandage.
Elaine: Hmm, thanks. *Pauses* Head out where?
Emrick: Spend time with Auryn.
Elaine: *Screws face up in confusion* Huh? Who is she?
Emrick: *Laughs* He… is the park’s Midnight Dragon. Since he’s nocturnal, I have to go out to feed him in the middle of the night.
Elaine: Oh. Why not leave food out for him?
Emrick: True, however I enjoy going out for a night ride.
Elaine: So, you can ride dragons?
Emrick: There are plenty of rideable dragons. Alzore or I can help you look for a friend at some point.
Elaine: *Idea pops into her head* What about… now? Tonight?
Emrick: *Pauses, then chuckles* Wouldn’t that be enchanting…
Elaine: *Looks away* Don’t make me regret suggesting it…
Emrick: Well, I’d love to, but you’re still healing.
Elaine: Ughhhhhh. Hey, wait, what if I ride a dragon that flies smoothly?
Emrick: *Thinks for a moment* Actually, I can think of one…
*Camera switch to showing a tall and slender dragon of a light blue color that looks silver in the moonlight. It bears long wavy horns and a short dark blue mane, and it’s curled into a ball with its long, white, feathery wings acting as a blanket. Elaine stares at the dragon in admiration, immediately liking this dragon above all the others that she has seen thus far *.
Emrick: This is Panema. She’s a Wind Dragon, which is one of the smoothest fliers of all known species of dragons.
Elaine: Wow, she’s beautiful.
*Emrick whistles, waking up the dragon. She yawns, looks up, and tilts her head up at Emrick*.
Emrick: Good morning, Panema. Do you wish to see your mate?
*As if understanding what Emrick said, Panema jumps up and flares her wings, clearly ready for taking off into the sky*.
Emrick: Panema and Auryn are mates. They were raised together in the nursery before being put in their habitats, but it was clear they’d be inseparable since the moment they hatched.
*With his wand, Emrick makes an opening in the habitat’s forcefield to let Panema out, and soon she’s soaring swiftly towards a habitat on the other side of the island. Elaine and Emrick follow her, and soon they approach a sparkling indigo habitat with designs of moons and stars. In the middle is a dragon with deep-blue scales, light blue horns along his chin, and sleek feathery wings. The second Panema lands, he rushed to the edge of the habitat and the two jump around, excited.
*Elaine stifles a few lighthearted giggles as Emrick makes the opening and the two dragons lunge at each other, embracing. Elaine can’t help but smile and absentmindedly steals a glance at Emrick, who’s smiling with amusement as well*.
Emrick: Alright, you two, who’s up for a midnight flight?
*The dragons pause, and Emrick takes Elaine’s hand as he guides her to Panema. The Wind Dragon immediately lowers herself, seemingly knowing the routine, and Elaine easily gets onto the dragon’s back*.
Emrick: *As he mounts Auryn* You may hold onto her horns, but try not to steer her. Mates prefer to fly in sync with one another.
Elaine: Okay… *Gently grasps the Wind Dragon’s horns*
Emrick: *Pats Auryn’s shoulder* Go slow, my friend. We have a new rider with us.
*Auryn nods and takes off, Panema following suit. Elaine Keeps a firm-yet-light hold on Panema’s horns as the dragon’s head turns with its body, flying parallel to Auryn. As the two dragons soar higher into the ever-expansive sky, Elaine looks down at the islands and lets out a short burst of laughter as she sees the perfect birds-eye view.
*Up ahead, Emrick enters a state of contentment and peace, but still finds himself glancing back at Elaine every few moments to make sure she’s okay, but each time she appears more than okay, eyes closed and no doubt feeling the cool wind hitting her face.
*Periodically, Panema and Auryn would switch spots by flying over one another, or rhythmically and symmetrically swerve left and right.
*The whole time, Elaine can’t stop smiling, remembering how her dream was to fly like this, on a pair of wings, the wind flowing all around her, nothing around her but the sky… and, apparently, someone else, who was right there to her left. She steals a glance at him, surprised to see Emrick return the gaze*.
Emrick: *Shouting at a moderate volume* Not too cold, I hope?
Elaine: No, it’s perfect!
Emrick: Good! The fresh air should help your arm!
*Almost forgetting her injury, Elaine looks at her forearm, surprised that it wasn’t hurting the slightest bit. She stares at the bandage, speculating, but shakes her head as multiple other factors come to mind as to how the pain has dulled.
*However, her smile fades for a moment as she thinks a little more, and then her smile returns, not as wide, but nonetheless expressing far more than just happiness*.
